The Whipped Manuka Honey Cleansing Balm (6 oz) promotes a healthy skin microbiome with moisturizing manuka honey, sourced exclusively from New Zealand. Manuka honey is prized for its superior humectant and antibacterial properties.
This cleanser also contains sweet almond oil that is packed with vitamins E and A, which are known to fight oxidative stress.
Another key ingredient you will find in this oil-based cleansing balm is carrot seed oil, known for its soothing abilities and its ability to prevent redness. It is also rich in vitamin E and excellent for rejuvenating tired skin.
Sea Buckthorn Oil is another star ingredient in this cleanser, this oil is derived from the Sea Buckthorn Berry and has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. The fruit has an exceptionally high concentration of Vitamin C and more Vitamin E than any other plant-based oil. It promotes skin hydration, elasticity, cell regeneration, and even helps treat and prevent acne. Sea Buckthorn oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can help to reduce swelling and redness associated with many skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea.
The Manuka Cleansing Balm is fragranced with 100% organic skin grade essential oils. We use a citrus blend to create a smell that is reminiscent of a 50/50 bar (an orange and cream popsicle!)
Now we don't want to toot our own horn over here at Bamba but this is by far the most amazing thing we have ever smelled! When you apply this to your face it is like inhaling a creamy citrus dream with a hint of honey, now who wouldn't want to smell like that?

About Oil Cleansers:
It is important to note that if you have never used an oil cleanser it will feel different from your normal cleanser! Oil cleansers are designed to clean your face with oil instead of soap, this may sound crazy to some people at first but we promise it is life-changing. When you use a traditional cleanser and clean your face with soap you are stripping away ALL of your natural oils, the oils your face produces are supposed to be there to act as a protective shield that banishes acne-causing bacteria.
Instead of taking away this precious oil, oil cleansers use more oil to draw out any pieces of dirt or bacteria that are hiding in your pores.
Oil cleansing leaves your face feeling hydrated, as opposed to tight and dry, which can take some getting used to if you are used to that "tight and clean" feeling after washing your face.
Once you do get used to the feeling of oil cleansing we promise you won't miss your old cleanser at all!
Instructions for use:
Apply a pea-sized amount of your cleansing balm to your dry face. Spread it around and massage it into your skin for around 60 seconds. (This is a great time to use facial massage techniques that reduce fine lines and wrinkles).
Run a soft washcloth under warm water and squeeze out the extra water. Apply the washcloth over your face to allow the steam to open your pores and let the oils do their work! Once the washcloth feels cool use it to softly wipe away any excess oil on your face.
Pat your face dry and feel how soft and moisturized your skin feels instead of feeling tight and dry like it would from a traditional cleanser!
Step 4 (optional):
If you are having a hard time getting used to the feeling of an oil cleanser I always recommend that you try double-cleansing. To double cleanse, you would follow the steps above then follow with a gentle cleanser that foams. This way you get the benefits of both types of cleansing, however, I do recommend that you first try oil cleansing on its own so you allow your skin to keep its natural oils!
My hand before cleansing: DRY
My hand after cleansing: Moisturized and happy.
